#22

Actual texts sent from me to Evan tonight at the show during A Day To Remember's set.

- This band is garbage.  My ears are bleeding.
(Editor's note: The set starts with that recycled siren noise - as used by The Causalities on Warped Tour and Beyonce at some awards show.)

-A hardcore boy band?
(Ed note: All seem to constantly head bob in unison... this seems suspect.  Hmmm...)

-Can we give Florida back to Spain?
(Ed note: 'Hey we're A Day To Remember from Florida... open it up New Jersey!'.  Barf.  Can we give Florida back to Spain?  I don't fuckin need orange juice that badly.)

-Yes, this will be a day to remember...for all the wrong reasons.
(Ed note: Enough said.)

-If I could get close enough, I would throw my beer at them.
(Ed note: So many kids in the crowd cheered for being straight edge.  Don't they know it doesn't count if you're under 21?  It's not straight edge... you're just not breaking the law.)

-Seriously, what is with the synchronized guitar guys?
(Ed note: The head bobbing, jump kicking, and breakdowns are ALL the same.  Nothing special about this band.)

-A day to remember puts on a show I wish I could forget.
(Ed note: Nothing special except the fact that I will remember to avoid seeing them play in the future.)

-Figures they would play a cover... They have not done an original thing all night.
(Ed note: Pretty much ended the set with Since U Been Gone.... awesome.)

Maybe they fall into that "good guys, bad band" category.... but I pray that band gets a flat tire.

Halloween is quickly approaching and since I was too busy packing/moving last year to celebrate, I need to go big(ger) this year.  Generally the holiday is just an excuse for girl dress like sluts...  and, lets be honest, those possibilities are endless (i.e. slutty nurse, slutty devil, slutty Rainbow Brite).

Here are some of my current ideas...

-Tina Fey impersonating Sarah Palin
-Jay Cutler... and someone to be my Brandon Marshall and we'll run plays all night
-Kat Von D (or is that sooo 2007?)
-wrap myself in foil and go as a leftover

Thoughts?

Wow.  So glad I didn't watch the Emmy Awards last night.
This is pretty amazing though.  Compliments of Ernest Riles.  File this under the most amazing/terrifying thing I've seen lately.  I'm a little disappointed the (original) 90210 and Saved By The Bell theme songs were omitted.

I do however want Tina Fey to play the adult version of me if my life is ever made into a movie.  So, congrats to her on all her wins last night.

An open letter to the Baltimore Orioles.

Hey, I know you guys are like basically the worst team in baseball -- here's an idea, get some pitching next year! -- but that's not what I'm here to talk about.    Remember in 1996 when the Yankees' fan (may you rot in hell) reached over the fence to catch the "home run"... Well here is your chance at paybacks.  Today's the last game at Yankee Stadium.  How sweet would it be to return the favor and beat them?  Their last game in the historic venue destroyed by the O's.... C'mon, you gotta win this one!

PS- Who wants to bet that Jeffrey Maier created and updates his own Wikipedia page?  What a douche bag.

Sarah Palin totally hates Polar Bears.  Read about it here.

I happen to like Polar Bears a lot.  Barack 'n' Roll!

Today in failing...

-missed the East Village beer crawl
-did not go to The Souls roller derby half-time show in Asbury Park
-Priceline would not accept my bids on flights to Hawaii
-American Apparel would not let me exchange a pair of tights
-currently watching Bad Boys II for a second time today

Seriously thinking about going to bed even though its barely midnight.   I used to be fun.

Currently reading this book of short stories by Sedaris, not actually written by him but chosen by him. Maybe its because my reading is mostly limited to the subway to/from work but short stories are great - Nine Stories/Salinger, Headless/Weissman, A Stranger In This World/Canty...  So good.  I won't lie, I kind of want to read A People's History Of The United States but I'm fairly certain I will get bored with it before I even make it to the Christopher Columbus part.

More football in t-minus 13 hours!

Re: #6

It happened back in July thanks to Carly Richardson.  Most excellent.

Also, I probably should have been born Canadian.  It would make me appreciate things like  this even more.

count me in!

we should get seats as close as possible to where the '93 WS home run
was hit to incase they try to do a physical reenactment.

seriously though, should we get cheap seats or good tickets?
is there some thing where we get to meet joe carter if we sit in the
100's?
